We all know that in order to help ourselves ovulate and increase our chances of fertility, we need to eat a whole food diet rich in healthy fats and proteins. However, this can sometimes be a challenge when we are on-the-go, or simply like to enjoy very flavorful meals. It can be tough to find the right recipes for fertility. Luckily, I’ve come across some that are both nutritious and delicious.
This Avocado and Fig Salsa by Kristen Boucher is perfect for those of us who have a sweet tooth, or do not have much time to prep our meals. Additionally, avocado and fig are amongst some of the ‘ultimate fertility fruits’ for women AND men, so you can’t go wrong with this delicious recipe.
It takes only 10 minutes to prep and most of the ingredients can be found in your kitchen already!
1 ripe avocado, chopped
1 plum tomato, chopped
2 fresh figs, chopped
1 jalapeño pepper, ribs and seeds removed, minced
1 clove garlic, crushed
1 tbsp. cilantro
1/8 tsp. cumin
1/8 tsp. coriander
Juice of half a lime
½ - ¾ tsp. raw honey to taste OR grade B maple syrup to make vegan
Sea salt and ground pepper to taste
