Happy New Year

January 2017 ~ Sacred Fertility Yoga

This New Year I am reflecting on my life’s purpose and how I can dedicate myself to creating positive life change for myself, my family, and, my community.  As many of you know, I’ve recently created a new program, Sacred Fertility Yoga that is designed to support women on their path to pregnancy.

I’ve been teaching the program since July 2016, and I’m currently working on my first book. It’s been such an inspiration to see these deeply dedicated women creating profound life changes in order to prepare their bodies for conception. I am essentially guiding them along the Yogic path to a place of fertility.  The basic principles of the program are things we can all benefit from. Fertile is a word that means fruitful and full. When we are fertile, we have the means to manifest our desires.

I’ve discovered that anyone can benefit from the basic steps of the Sacred Fertility Yoga program. The next phase of this project is revealing itself. I’m starting to see the seeds of my second book, Sacred Life Yoga. I’ve learned from working with the hopeful mamas, that the key to success is to find a purpose, something that makes you deeply feel your passion. It’s this purpose that awakens your desire to commit and provides the inner strength to dedicate yourself to transformation. They are yearning for a baby. What are you yearning for?

Once you have identified your source of motivation, you can then easily adapt your life to follow the Sacred Fertility Yoga program to realize your dreams.  The steps are based on the five Koshas (sheaths or aspects of self) from the ancient wisdom of the Yoga tradition.

The Five Koshas are:

  • Annamaya Kosha – physical body
  • Pranamaya Kosha – energy body
  • Manomaya Kosha – lower mind
  • Vijnanamaya Kosha – upper mind
  • Anandamaya Kosha – inner bliss

The Six Steps of Sacred Fertility are essentially a more modern, paired down practical guide to creating a Yogic lifestyle. Here are the steps:

Step One: Cleanse – purify both the physical body and your environment.

  • Step Two: Energize – exercise and practice Yoga to rejuvenate your body.
  • Step Three: Center – explore the chakra system to heal your emotions.
  • Step Four: Balance – use pranayama + life choices to reduce stress.
  • Step Five: Connect – practice meditation to activate your intuition.
  • Step Six – Awaken – open to faith and vision to support you on your path.

If you’d like to receive a copy of the Sacred Fertility Yoga workbook with more details on these steps, please let m know and I’d be happy to send it to you.  You can also find more information on my new website www.sacredfertilityyoga.com.  Please share this program with anyone you know who may be trying to conceive.  Scholarships are available. No woman will be turned away who cannot pay.

I look forward to seeing you all at Sonic this winter, and if you are feeling the cold and are looking for a jumpstart to your New Year transformation, please join Tracy, Chris and I, for a deeply nourishing tropical Yoga retreat in the jungles of Costa Rica!

With Love + Gratitude, Lauren
